Senator Markey is currently accepting Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) and Programmatic Funding / Language Requests for the FY2025 Appropriations process. All requests MUST be submitted electronically through the online portals linked below.
PLEASE NOTE: any entities that are submitted requests during the FY2024 process, regardless of if they were included in the FY24 Senate Appropriations Bill, are required to re-submit applications for FY2025. Fiscal Year 2024 requests do not carry over to any future fiscal years.
Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) Requests are designed to identify high-impact projects in Massachusetts that can reach completion with assistance from the federal government. CDS requests are strictly for non-profits, tribal and local governments. All CDS requests must comply with Senate Rule XLIV. All Requests must be submitted by April 5, 2024 at 6PM ET.
Beginning in FY2025, Senators Warren and Markey are using a joint application for all congressionally directed spending requests (programmatic requests should still be submitted to each individual office).

Programmatic Funding and Language Requests are general funding requests for national and regional programs, and/or bill and report language requests which directs, encourages, or urges an Agency or Department to carry out an action. All Requests must be submitted by April 5, 2024 at 6PM ET.
