Today, Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA), released the following statement on the tragic passing of State Rep. Deborah Blumer (D-Framingham).

"Deborah Blumer was an extraordinary public servant and an outstanding representative for the people of Framingham and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  She combined the energy of a teenager and the wisdom of a grandmother when working on issues important to her district and her constituents, and her dedication to decency, social justice and sound public policy will be greatly missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with her husband Irwin, her children and the entire Blumer family.  The Town of Framingham has lost a great champion."

Framingham is a part of the 7th Congressional District that Rep. Markey represents.  Markey is the Dean of the Massachusetts Congressional Delegation.
