Companies Kickstarter, Vimeo, Etsy and more to join lawmakers on Capitol Hill
Washington (September 16, 2014) – As more lawmakers add their support to the call to reclassify broadband as a utility under Title II of the Telecommunications Act, Senators Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and Al Franken (D-Minn.) will be joined by several major online companies at a press conference on net neutrality and the need to protect the openness of the Internet for future generations. The public comment period on the FCC’s proposed open Internet rule concluded on Monday, making history as the issue that has garnered the most comments in FCC history with more than three million public comments submitted.
