Rep. Markey addressed the crowd of thousands of environmentalists on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on April 19, 2009 in anticipation of Earth Day on April 22 and to encourage Americans to support the Waxman-Markey Clean Energy Bill that the House Energy and Commerce Committee is considering this week. 

EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and League of Conservation Voters' President Gene Karpinski also participated in the rally in front of the U.S. Capitol. Mr. Karpinski is pictured here showing Rep.
