Washington D.C. – Representative Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) welcomed residents of the Seventh Congressional District to Capitol Hill this week for the 2010 Constituent Day in Washington, D.C. Rep. Markey met with hundreds of local residents, took them on a tour of the floor of the House of Representatives, discussed the history of the Capitol, current events and responded to a wide range of questions on issues facing the Commonwealth and the nation.
“Meeting with my constituents is one of the most important aspects of my job and I am thrilled so many came down to Washington to visit the Capitol and take place in this year’s Constituent Day,” said Markey.
