Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA), a senior Democratic member of both the House Resources and Energy and Commerce Committees, urged the passing of the CLEAN Energy Act in order to repeal wasteful tax breaks for oil companies and to invest in long term energy efficiency and conservation.
