A Bipartisan Task Force on Non-Proliferation Panel Discussion
Dear Colleague:
We encourage you to attend a panel convened by the Bipartisan Security Group (BSG) and the Henry L. Stimson Center to discuss the topic of Space Weaponization – Security and Proliferation Implications. Space weaponization is emerging as a vital issue with respect to its implications for the U.S. security and non-proliferation interests. We also call to your attention the attached briefing document entitled Space Security or Space Weapons from the Stimson Center.

Panelists:
• Ambassador Thomas Graham, Jr., was involved in the negotiation of every major international arms control and nonproliferation agreement of the past 30 years. He served as Legal Advisor to the U.S. Nuclear and Space Arms Delegation and the U.S. START I and START II Delegations.
• Michael Krepon is Co-Founder and President Emeritus of the Stimson Center and now divides his time between the University of Virginia and Stimson, where he directs the Center’s programming on space security and South Asia. Krepon is the author and co-editor of twelve books, directed defense policy and program reviews at the U. S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency and is a former Congressional staffer on the Appropriations and Armed Services Committees.
• Suzanne Spaulding, (co-Chair) is currently a Managing Director at The Harbour Group, LLC. Previously, Ms. Spaulding was Executive Director of the National Commission on Terrorism and the Commission to Assess the Organization of the Federal Government to Combat the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction. She also served as General Counsel of the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Assistant General Counsel of the CIA.
• Jonathan Granoff, (co-Chair) is President of the Global Security Institute. He is currently a Senior Advisor of the American Bar Association's Committee on Arms Control and National Security.
