MALDEN, Mass. - On Saturday, January 24th, 2009, the City of Malden held a ceremony to dedicate its brand new Senior Community Center to Congressman Markey’s parents and life-long Maldonians, John E. & Christina M. Markey. Rep. Markey, his wife, Dr. Susan Blumenthal, his two brothers John and Richard Markey, and many cousins, aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews were joined by hundreds of members of the community to help celebrate the grand opening of this beautiful, state-of-the art building. |
