The Energy & Air Quality Subcommittee convened a hearing, entitled “Legislative Proposals to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions: An Overview,” to discuss legislation to combat Global Warming.

Rep. Markey delivered a statement on the urgent need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions quickly and deeply enough to avoid dangerous global warming: at least 80 percent by 2050.

In early June, Rep. Markey introduced new legislation called the Investing in Climate Action and Protection Act (iCAP), H.R. 6186, that will slash global warming emissions and make America the leader in clean technology solutions.
