CBS local programming is no longer available for Boston market viewers with DISH;  Patriots vs. Miami game will be blacked out for those viewers that have DISH unless they have a digital antenna

Washington (November 22, 2017) - Senator Edward Markey, a member of the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, urged representatives from DISH and CBS to negotiate a settlement to a retransmission dispute that would endanger a black out of the New England Patriots game versus the Miami Dolphins on Sunday for DISH customers in the Boston television market.

“These contract disputes between DISH and CBS will make a lot of fans frustrated when they tune into the Patriots on Sunday and see nothing but a blank screen,” Markey said. “I make no representations as to the merits of either side’s position, but hope for Patriots’ fans' sake that a quick resolution can get our team back on DISH customers' screens in time to see this AFC East rivalry game on Sunday.”

Fans that are DISH customers in the Boston television market must have a digital antenna in order to get the local CBS affiliate, WBZ, to watch Tom Brady and the rest of the Super Bowl LI, XLIX, XLVI, XLII, XXXIX, XXXVIII and XXXVI champion Patriots because of the dispute.
