MEDFORD, MA – U.S. Representative Edward J. Markey is proud to announce that Daniel Pinho of Everett, Massachusetts has been appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point.  Daniel was Representative Markey’s Principal Nomination to West Point and has received an offer of appointment.
 
Daniel is the son of Albert and Mary Pinho.  He also has six brothers and sisters.  Daniel is currently a top student at Everett High School.  He is the President of the National Honor Society.  Daniel also is a member of the Everett High School Orchestra, the drama club, and the key club.  He also finds time to work at the Texas Roadhouse.  After West Point, Daniel plans to become an engineer in the United States Army.
 
Congressman Markey invites interested students from the Seventh Congressional District who are currently in their junior year of high school to apply for a nomination to West Point Military Academy, the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy.
