Markey sent letters today to the following companies asking them to lay out the steps they take to fully inform customers, especially those considering travel to developing countries, about known health and safety issues in the destination of their choice: Apple Vacations, Expedia, Orbitz, Priceline, and Travelocity.

Rep. Markey added, "My office often works with constituents considering travel overseas or looking for information about such travel. It's critical that all Americans embarking on a trip abroad fully understand their options and are properly prepared in order to make the most of their travel experience."
