WASHINGTON, D.C. –Representative Edward J. Markey (D-MA), chairman of the House Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet, and Representative Henry A. Waxman (D-CA), chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, sent the attached letter to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin J. Martin today concerning product placement in television programming. Rep. Markey addressed this subject in his hearing on the “Future of Video” held in May.
