$500 Million Science Fund
Chairman Markey writes a letter to BP, Transocean, and Halliburton requesting establishment of an independently-managed fund for research into investigate causes of the spill, monitor the spill's location and trajectory, and assess the impacts on marine and costal populations of the oil and oil/dispersant mixes.
