Markey to Make Major Announcement on Global Warming Policy

Speech Will Outline Vision for Climate Legislation

Tomorrow Rep. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), Chairman of the House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming and a senior member on the Energy and Commerce Committee, will deliver a speech outlining his vision on effective climate legislation.

Rep. Markey has spent over 30 years in the House of Representatives developing progressive energy and environmental policies, including the increase in fuel economy standards that became law in December as part of the Energy Independence and Security Act.

Rep. Markey will take questions from press following the speech.
