Climate change is a moral, health, environmental, justice, economic, and national security crisis. While the costs of inaction continue to rise, the benefits from taking action on climate and environmental injustice have never been greater. Senator Edward J. Markey (D-MA) serves as Chair of the U.S. Senate Climate Change Task Force with Co-Chair Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), which is a regular forum where members of the Senate meet to discuss the latest climate change science, inequities fueled by climate impacts, recent innovations in clean energy technology, and actions that can be taken to reduce carbon pollution and pursue climate justice.

The Climate Change Task Force provides a forum to keep Senators, their staff, and the public up-to-date on the latest developments in climate science, climate justice, and clean energy policy at all levels of government, and the latest approaches businesses, communities, and other stakeholders are taking to deal with the challenges of climate change.
